Description
Desmond Heating & Cooling Solutions is hiring an experienced Commercial HVAC Technician to join our professional team. This full-time position serves Delaware, Chester County, Philadelphia, and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, while upholding the high standards of service and craftsmanship Desmond is known for.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and air handling systems.
- Perform installation and replacement of HVAC equipment in commercial buildings, offices, and industrial facilities.
- Conduct preventive maintenance programs to ensure system efficiency, reliability, and compliance with safety standards.
- Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings to guide system installations and repairs.
- Test HVAC systems and components for proper operation using specialized tools and instruments.
- Work with building automation and control systems (BAS) to optimize energy efficiency and system performance.
- Respond promptly to service calls and emergency repairs.
- Maintain accurate service records, timesheets, and parts usage documentation.
- Interact professionally with customers, contractors, and property managers to provide clear communication and trusted service.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC installation, service, and maintenance.
- EPA Section 608 Certification required.
- Strong technical knowledge of large-scale HVAC systems, electrical controls, and refrigeration cycles.
- Experience working with BAS and digital control systems preferred.
- OSHA certification preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in team environments.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
